Wordsworth, Dora (1804-1847). - Letter, from Rydal Mount, to Edward Quillinan (1791-1851), at Southwood House, Ramsgate, dated 2 June 1834. WLL / Wordsworth, Dora / 1 / 58

June. 2 - 1834

Roger's is a beautiful book - I hope you like his notes I am not sure but that they give me more pleasure than either the poetry or prints & I read them again & again with renewed delight the style is to my mind perfection. I have read the Dr & like him much - the descriptive parts are touchingly beautiful - I dont believe Hartley Coleridge to have any thing to do with it further than reviewing it in Blackwood that I know he is about for he borrowed our copy (Father had one sent from the Author his name father's printed in read letters) long ago & has not yet brought it home - your friend's remark on Mr Sharpe was full of wit - poor Man we hope to see him & his Canary bird in Westmoreland this summer

If you all go to Portugal I hope it is not expecting asking too much to expect ask you to let us know how you all are &c

Do you remember the kind of hot roll your friend Mr Wake told you your brother would some morning receive for breakfast - Is there now no danger of that sort to be dreaded?

When your plans are really fixed pray tell us - thro' Aunt Sarah if you have not time to write - how we long for her return -
