My dear Chris: & Susan

Under any circumstances it will be a comfort & consolation, & perfectly convenient to us, to receive you when you are at liberty; & with God’s blessing I venture to hope you may find your dear Uncle in a hopeful state, which has not been the case for the last 2 days – But symptoms this morning revive my spirits.

much satisfaction when I read your proposal to him, & I am most grateful to you. He bid me with his love say that he hoped he should be better when you arrived.

John returned to us from his Parish duties yesterday, & we are looking for William, whom, from the state of his Father on Tuesday, I felt it to be

incumbent upon me to summon him to Rydal.

We have not seen Mr Q. to day, but as he has had a message from the Mount this morng he probably may be writing to you. My 2 nieces from Mathon are here, & we are expecting them soon to be joined by their dear Mother.
