William Wordsworth (1770-1850) ; Dorothy Wordsworth (1771-1855) ms, letter Wordsworth, William (1770-1850) & Wordsworth, Dorothy (1771-1855) (written at Wordsworth's dictation by Dorothy, signed by Wordsworth). - Letter, from Rydal Mount, to John Kenyon, at the Granby Hotel, Harrowgate, dated 23 July 1820. - 1 folded sheet. - He begins 'My dear Sir, My eyes have lately become so irritable that I am again forced to employ an Amanuensis.' He expresses his sorrow that John Kenyon is ill. He also writes about his planned tour of Ireland, with Edward Quillinan (1791-1851) (?). He also recommends various places to visit in Scotland, including the fall of Foyers upon Loch Ness and Glen Coe. He also offers to write a letter of introduction to Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832). Corresponds to text of letter 33 (p.68) in 'The later years', part 1 (1821-1828). It is dated in collected letters as 23 July 1821.
