Contains DW's verse 'Address to a child, during a boisterous Winter Evening', 'The Mother's return', 'The Cottager to her infant', 2 fragments 'There is a cottage in our dale' and 'Peaceful our valley', as well as prose fragments and draft towards her narrative of the excursions to Ullswater (1805) and Scafell (1818), the beginning of the 'Narrative of the death of George and sarah Green', and 'Mary Jones and her pet lamb'. Front cover titled 'Dorothy Wordsworth, Rydal Mount'. Sizes vary, approx 227mm x 184mm (hxw); A homemade notebook with brown paper covers, now rebound in a modern binding.
