A Tapestry

It is Wordsworth 250 anniversary year. Our village has an active Knit & Nat group of very positive members. When asked by the “Trust “ to provide 250 knitted daffodils we all delved in and with lots of friends knit all 250 of them.

However, we were also asked to make a few tapestries of places important, & connected with William Wordsworth. This is more of a challenge. But with time on my hands and one of my best friends, Carrie’s, enthusiasm, I said I would ‘give it a go’. I am proud to say I have done four, and passed the days, busy, and if not “happy”, at least with some satisfaction of being useful. Being part of the community, doing something that will be used in the future in our annual rushbearing, has given me much pleasure in these sad times which I’m pleased to have been fit and well enough in.
